GOLDEN STATE INITIATIVE OFFERS EXCLUSIVE CHANCE TO INTRODUCE 'MILLION 4 A BILLION' INITIATIVE, ENABLING CALIFORNIANS TO SECURELY RECEIVE THEIR REFUND & STIMULUS PAYMENTS VIA THE INTERNET.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 15, 2020 — Given the current economic crisis caused by COVID-19, it is crucial for Californians to have immediate access to financial assistance and resources.
Today, on the originally designated Tax Day of April 15, Golden State Opportunity (GSO) is initiating the 'Million 4 a Billion' initiative to assist Californians in maintaining a sense of financial stability and security during these times of increased unemployment, as well as concerns surrounding access to basic necessities such as food and housing.
GSO's groundbreaking initiative, known as the 'Million 4 a Billion' campaign, aims to guarantee that the staggering sum of $1 billion, thoughtfully allocated by Gov. Gavin Newsom himself alongside the esteemed Legislature, specifically for refunds derived from the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), unequivocally finds its way into the hands of hardworking individuals enduring the treacherous aftermath of layoffs, reduced income, and the looming specter of financial instability. Thanks to this remarkable effort, those in dire need of immediate financial aid will finally receive the much-needed relief they so urgently deserve.
In the upcoming weeks, the CalEITC4Me program of GSO will utilize their successful strategies for digital and mobile messaging outreach. They will also organize a large-scale phone banking campaign to connect with a million residents of California who may qualify for a tax refund through the California and federal EITCs.
According to Amy Everitt, the President of Golden State Opportunity, our team is fully dedicated to assisting low-income individuals in California who are facing difficulties due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure that these individuals have access to stimulus checks and tax refund cash, we will be providing assistance to one million low-income Californians to help them file their taxes. This way, they can claim the money that they have already earned and are in desperate need of.
Apart from the $1,200 stimulus payments provided by the federal government, individuals with low income in California can also receive refunds up to $8,000 through state and federal EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) programs.
Collaborating with our community partners, GSO is committed to linking Californians with secure access to complimentary online tax filing resources directly from the comfort of their residences, all while receiving support from knowledgeable tax volunteers. Alongside booking an appointment to submit their taxes, individuals who are reached out to will also gain valuable information about various supplementary services, including guidelines for enrolling in CalFresh or applying for unemployment benefits.
Californians who are experiencing financial hardship have no need to delay obtaining their tax refund. The funds are currently accessible and GSO's 'Million 4 a Billion' initiative is committed to promptly and effortlessly delivering it to distressed workers in California.
