California has extended the eligibility for the California Earned Income Tax Credit to taxpayers with an ITIN, which includes undocumented workers. Individuals with an ITIN can now potentially qualify for both the CalEITC and the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC).
The size of your refundable tax credit relies on your income and the number of individuals in your household.
- Claiming the CalEITC makes you potentially eligible to receive a maximum of $285. So, if you opt to claim the CalEITC, you may qualify for a stunning sum of $285. .
- If you are a parent with a single child, you can receive a maximum amount of $1,900. However, if you have a larger family, you become eligible for even greater financial support.
- If your child possesses a Social Security identification, you might also be eligible for additional benefits under the federal Child Tax Credit.
